Nice to meet you
My name is Lorna Burrows and I am a professional copywriter, daydreamer and inexpert piano player living in beautiful Norfolk.
I love writing, I’ve always loved writing – I wrote my first ‘book’ (a felt-tip penned effort with the pages glued backwards) when I was five years old. Now I am in the process of redrafting my second novel.
I’ve been working as a copywriter for nearly 15 years now, having scored a staff writer job straight from university. Since then I’ve never looked back as I’ve travelled from editorial to advertising agency to immersive storytelling to freelance brand writer. I type extremely fast and listen to a lot of music – I find that helps the ideas. I read a lot too – you can’t write if you don’t read.
When not at work, I try to play piano, write silly stories and of course spend a lot of time with my very cheeky child (and even cheekier dog) in the great outdoors. I find there’s nothing so good for the soul as a long walk with good company.
Well, apart from writing perhaps.
